Miguel Santos is a series of guitars made at the workshop of Amalio Burguet (b. 1951) in Valencia, Spain.

Born in Catarroja, Valencia, Amalio Burguet began learning the craft of guitar making at a young age, working in several workshops in Valencia, Granada, and Málaga. He built his first guitar in 1966, at the age of 15. After establishing his own workshop in Catarroja in 1984, he continued to develop a distinctive brand based on entirely hand-crafted construction, traditional Spanish tonal ideals, and excellent value.

Today, the workshop is run as a family business, with his son Damián and daughter Vanessa also involved in the craft.

［Instrument Information］

This is a used 2007 Miguel Santos FA-15/64, made at the Amalio Burguet workshop in Valencia, Spain.

The FA-15 features a 640 mm short scale, a cedar top, and Indian rosewood back and sides. It offers the rich, full-bodied resonance and glossy tonal character traditionally associated with Spanish guitars of this construction, while maintaining excellent clarity and definition in each note.

The instrument has a generous, resonant voice with a wide range of tonal colors and ample dynamic response. Its overall balance is particularly impressive for its class, making it an excellent choice not only for beginners but also as an easy-to-play second instrument for more advanced players.

The top shows some fine, shallow playing marks around the soundhole and a somewhat deeper string-slip mark below the bridge on the 1st-string side. Apart from a few minor dents and scratches, the instrument remains in clean overall condition. There is slight age-related discoloration of the finish at the bottom of the back, but this does not detract from the overall appearance or affect continued use.

There are no significant repair histories such as cracks. The neck, frets, tuners, and other components affecting playability are all in good condition.

The current string height is 3.0 mm on the 1st string and 4.0 mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret. Approximately 2.0–2.5 mm of saddle material remains available for further adjustment.

The top features five fan braces, with the resonance tuned between G and G♯.
