This is a Distortion Plus manufactured around 1978!
At the time, it was a great product that was typical of MXR, with a compact and sturdy die-cast case that was revolutionary and a dramatically extended battery life. The simple drive and level controls work with any type of amp or guitar, and the sound that makes it easy to produce picking nuances was initially welcomed by fusion musicians rather than rock musicians. Turning down the guitar's VOL gives you a warm and edgy distortion. The slightly fuzzy, rough and dry distortion that can be said to be the hard rock sound of the 1970s is particularly noteworthy, and it is said that Randy Rhoads also wanted that kind of sound. The exterior is also different from previous and current models, with a rough surface on the case. Another feature of this model is that the bass is emphasized more than the current model, giving the sound a warm feeling. In addition, the amount of distortion changes in response to the guitar's VOL, so you can use it with the same feeling as if it was directly on the amp. The precious original box is included.
