This is the "AIR Brake" attenuator, made by the late amplifier legend Ken Fisher while he was still alive!
You can adjust the volume of the entire amplifier without changing the amplifier's preferred settings. For example, by using this product at home, you can lower the volume while maximizing the distortion of the output tube. However, it does not produce a dramatic change, and if you need to turn down the volume significantly, I think that a recent attenuator would perform better, but some people, such as those who like old equipment, may not feel comfortable with an attenuator from that time. It is sealed with rivets and the inside cannot be checked, and it is said that it can be used with amplifiers up to 100W. Since it is handmade, the number of units produced is not very large, and it is a model with historical value that is rarely seen on the used market.
