1966 Fender "Jaguar" is now in stock!
In late 1965, Fender, which became a part of CBS, adopted the neck binding that had been used on Gibson's higher-end models for the purpose of creating a more upscale image.
In mid-1966, the position mark was also changed to a larger block shape, and Fender's presence in the market was more appealing.
This is a Fender's top model "Jaguar" made in the first half of '66 with neck binding.
The position markings are still the same as those used up to 1965, and this "bound dot neck" is actually quite rare, as it was only produced for a few months.
The exterior shows some minor wear and weather checks, but it is still in good condition for vintage gear,
Excellent condition!
The nut has been replaced and the slide switch for tone preset was not working properly when we received the instrument,
We have replaced it, but the original is still included.
The tone is sharp and crisp like a Jaguar, recommended for those who use a lot of effectors, and best suited for tricky playing with pedals!
