The standard Gibson full-depth body ES model, the "ES-125," is a simple model featuring a single P-90 pickup. This newly arrived instrument is a 1959 model. While it shows some wear befitting a vintage piece over 60 years old, it maintains excellent overall condition!
Details include: the tuners have been replaced with ones matching the original shape, the pots have been replaced with 70s CTS units, and the wood near the output jack on the body side has been repaired for a crack, with a jack plate installed. However, the pickup and other major components are original. Among late 50s models from Gibson's golden era, this is likely the last model we can offer at a still reasonable price.
Furthermore, the particularly special "59 model" from that golden era boasts exceptional wood quality. Its sound ranges from a mature, bluesy tone to a sweet, jazzy tone when using flatwound strings.
