岐阜県郡上市にある左波工房（さなみこうぼう）主宰、樋口恭大（ひぐちきょうだい）氏のギターブランドKyodai Higuchi。
日本が誇るファクトリー寺田楽器で長年職人としてのキャリアを積み、在籍時に今や国産フルアコの代表格であるRozeoを立ち上げ、2021年に独立した後はRozeoにも関わりつつ、自身の名を冠したブランド、Kyodai Higuchiを製作しております。渓流釣り用のランディングネットなどの製作も行っており、ギターの製作本数は年間僅か6〜8本の貴重な作品です。
本器は2024年製、15インチのフルアコWagtail 15の極上USED品。

モデル名のWagtailは、日本に住む我々には馴染みの深い美しい鳴き声の鳥、鶺鴒（セキレイ）の意。工房を引っ越してきて、単板材を削っている時に、黄鶺鴒の子供が工房に入ってきて綺麗な声を響かせていた事からモデル名に採用したそうです。
削り出しアーチはまさに職人技。厚板から贅沢に削り出したアーチは、全てが繋がり美しく流れるような形状で、本器はその高低差をやや抑えた仕様となります。
ノンカッタウェイ仕様、シンボディの珍しい仕様で、これはソファなどに腰掛けた時でも楽に抱えられ、かつ生音の豊かな響きを重視した設計です。
実際に弾くとまさにその通りで、生音の響きが非常に豊かで、音量、サスティーン、煌びやかさ、全てがハイレベルです。ポロンと鳴らすだけで良い気分に浸れる、アコースティックな響きを大切にしていることが良く分かるギターです。
ピックアップのこだわりも強く本器はRon Ellis Pickups P-90 Dog Earを採用。P-90タイプではハイエンドクラスのPUで、ヴィンテージラバーからも評価の高いモデルです。
細かいキズはございますが、全体的には大変綺麗なコンディションでの入荷です。
ライブで使うもよし、自宅で優雅なギター時間を過ごすのも良しな上質な芸術作品です。
