A 1991 Gibson "Jimi Hendrix 69 Flying V Custom Modified" has arrived in stock
This is the "Jimi Hendrix Flying V," released in 1991 as part of the "Hall of Fame" series in a limited run of 400 units
This model recreates the Flying V that Gibson built for Jimi in 1969. It features a black finish, a
pearl-inlaid "Gibson" logo on the headstock, and distinctive inlays and neck binding on the fingerboard
The original guitar was personally handed to Jimi during his lifetime, was used on several stages, and is currently
owned by the Hard Rock Cafe in London
The instrument we have in stock has been modified to specifications close to those of the original owned by Jimi himself.
The original stop tailpiece features a gold short Vibrola, which is iconic of the 1960s "V," and
the original stud anchors have been neatly filled in.
The pickguard is also the original one bearing his signature, not the standard plain version. Additionally, while the truss rod cover currently installed is the standard plain type, the original limited-edition cover engraved with the production number is included.
Furthermore, the pickups have been upgraded to 57 Classic models, and the pots, capacitors, and other components have also been upgraded.
The overall appearance shows minor signs of use, but it is in good used condition.
While a limited edition with original specifications was recently produced by the Custom Shop, this is a model that allows you to enjoy the original vibe at a more affordable price!
