90年代にスタートしたGibson Custom Shopとヒストリックレスポール。オリジナルサンバーストへの憧れと神話化が年々と高まっていく中、常にブラッシュアップを重ね、理想の体現を担ってきたフラッグシップモデルが1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue "R9"です。本器は各所のニカワ接着、チューブレストラスロッド、アニリンダイによるバックのチェリーカラーなど、"ヒスコレ"の完成度を誇示し、高い評価を受けた2014年製の１本。翌2015年からは"True Historic"が登場し一旦は廃盤となる"Historic Collection"の完成系とも言われた年式です。ネックジョイント、指板に採用されたニカワ接着とトラスロッドのアップデートはそれまで以上に豊かで自由なネックの響きを実現しており、アコースティックで美しい倍音感を付与しています。2000年代に比べ握り心地がスリムになったネックシェイプは、現行モデルと比べるとまだ僅かにグリップ感がしっかりしており、故のファットな要素、厚みのある反応もLes Paulらしいキャラクターをしっかりと体現。その後も全体の"鳴感"、倍音を増やしたアップデートがされていく印象のヒストリックレスポールにおいて、豊かな倍音に負けない芯の太さ、基音の艶やかさが魅力の年式です。こちら微細な擦れ、極細かな打痕など多少の経年はあるものの、目立った使用感は見られず概ね綺麗な印象。ロッドの調整を含め良好なネックコンディション。フレットの減りも少なく良好なプレイコンディションです。バランスよく細かな揺れのあるフィギュアドメイプルの杢にレモン系のカラーリングがベストマッチな面構え。ルックス・サウンドともに王道の満足度を感じさせる1本、ぜひご検討ください。オリジナルハードケース、認定書が付属。
