Fodera's Emperor II Elite, the pinnacle of boutique basses!

Fodera was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1983 by Vinny Fodera and Joey Lauricella.

Vinny Fodera is also known as Stewart Spector's first disciple, and made basses with Ken Smith from the late 1970s to the early 1980s.

The company is known for its high level of perfection and performance, as it is used by Victor Wooten, Anthony Jackson, Felix Pastorius, and many other historic bassists.

In addition, all Fodera basses are basically customizable, and the company continues to provide what users want with the highest quality.

This is a 5-string model of the Emperor II, a single-cut version of the Emperor, which bears the name "Emperor".

The top material is beautifully grained Claro walnut, and the back material is also walnut. The neck is a 3P maple through-neck structure, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

The pickup is Agular, but it is highly likely that it is not the original (factory state).
Agular is also a pickup that can be selected by Fodera customization, so although it is not in the factory state, it is considered to be a modification that follows the flow of Foderaism, as is the look of the wood cover.

It also seems that the fingerboard was once modified to be extended, and there are traces of rosewood repairs where the fingerboard end was cut, and traces of wood filler repairs on the body surface. It has been repaired so beautifully that it is not noticeable unless you look closely, and of course there are no problems with the functionality.

The heavy sound of the Low-B string, which is single cut, produces a deep, enveloping low end.
It has good graininess that is typical of a high-end guitar, fine sharpness in every frequency range, and rich sustain. It has a delicate and warm sound like a piano.

There are some traces of modifications, but it is an instrument that has been played well. This bass makes you think, "I want to create a place where this bass can shine."
