Product Description

The Famous brand is made by Kiwaya, and is not sold overseas.
Famous has been making beginners' ukuleles for 60 years, and most professional Japanese uke players started on one of these.
Until recently, they did not have an affordable concert model.
This is a carefully handcrafted instrument with a lightweight build, and made with a perfectionist attention to detail. The mahogany model has a a beautiful satin finish. This uke is made with beginners in mind,
but many pro\'s use these for travel instruments. The body is high-pressure laminated mahogany, which gives is a density and tone nearly the same as solid wood. The intonation is spot-on, thanks to the compensated saddle.The string height is low, and the strings are low-tension, so no sore fingers! A soft case and clip tuner is included, so there\'s nothing else to buy. We\'ll even throw in an Ukulele Mania cleaning cloth!

NOTE: This model is so popular in our shop that the one in the photos is probably already sold. But we can send you some photos of our current stock on request.
