Product Description

This instrument is one of the "surf ukuleles" made in the 1960's by Swagerty of California. The scale is 45 cm. (basically a baritone) but because of the extended neck, the total length is a staggering 120 cm.! The body is maple laminate, and the fretboard is plastic, but amazingly, this uke is actually pretty easy to play, and sounds OK. It even has fairly good intonation and tone, considering. It would make a great decoration for a bar, den, or man-cave, or surprise your friends at the local uke club! These ukes don't come up for sale often, and even more rarely do we see one in near-mint condition. A great chance to own a really unique bit of ukulele history!
