Sadowsky Tokyo has a loyal fan base!
Sadowsky Tokyo was created by Kikuchi, who studied under founder Roger Sadowsky and was allowed to make Sadowsky basses as a certified craftsman in Japan.
This model is the RJ4 jazz bass model from the TOKYO logo period.
It has a full-size two-piece ash body, maple neck, maple fingerboard, and a BADASS II bridge.
It has a 70s style look with neck binding and block position.
It is equipped with an original pickup/preamp, and the controls are volume/PU balancer/2-band EQ, and you can switch between active and passive by pushing/pulling the bass knob.
The sound character is different from current Metroline models, and rather than the liveliness of an active bass, it has a sound that is more like a Fender 70s sound.
It has a solid ash body, but it is also nice that it is relatively lightweight at 4.25 kg.
This jazz bass has a comfortable, lively sound despite being active!
