Style16は1960年代初頭にシングルオーボディやニューヨーカーモデルとして登場しました。その後は80年代に再び登場し、その後は多くの新しい試みが投影された現代的なモデルとして、様々なモデルがランナップしていき現在に至ります。また、いつの時代もハイコストパフォーマンスを誇り、マーティンをより多くの層に広めたシリーズでもあります。
本器は2023年製、000-16 StreetMasterのUSED品。
トップ：アディロンダック・スプルース（VTS）
サイド＆バック：インディアンローズウッド

トップ材のアディロンダック・スプルースには「VTS=Vintage Tone System」というマーチン社独自のエイジング加工技術を施しており、新品の状態でも長年弾きこまれたヴィンテージのようなサウンドをお楽しみいただける作りになっております。
甘く適度に乾いたボリューミーなサウンドは歌モノやブルースに相性抜群。632mmのトリプルオースケールが程よく柔らかいテンション感、44.5mm+ハイパフォーマンステーパーによる現代的な設計で操作性も抜群です。
本機種の特徴とも言える、渋いディストレスト・サテン・フィニッシュは、ヴィンテージ感を演出しておりますが、ヴィンテージのそれではないある意味新鮮なルックスです。
抱えやすいコンパクトなボディに加え、セッティングも良好で、パッと手に取り知らぬ間にずっと弾いてしまう、そんなギターです。
トップにピックによる弾き傷がございますが、楽器のコンセプト上、不思議と馴染んでおり違和感なく見えるのは不思議なものです。ネックコンディションも良好でプレイヤビリティは良く、アディロントップのマーティンとしては驚きの価格設定です。
