This pedal is made in New Zealand and gives you an overdrive like a vacuum tube without spoiling the sound of the pickup! Old circuit specification.
You can use it as a booster by turning down the DRIVE and raising the LEVEL. As you turn up the DRIVE, the mid-low range becomes stronger. If you turn it up too much, it will become boomy, so it's better to set it moderately. If you turn up the PRESENCE, the high mids will be raised and the sound will be better. It is often compared to the RAT, but the HOT CAKE has a more overdriven and fat sound. Depending on the guitar and amp, it may sound a bit muffled, but it is recommended when you want to add thickness to the sound of a guitar with a single PU. It has two knobs and is from around 2005.
