This is a rare Japanese-made TS10 equipped with the popular op-amp JRC4558D (glossy)!
This is the TUBE SCREAMER CLASSIC from the "POWER series" released around 1985. It has become extremely popular, thanks to its use by Stevie Ray Vaughan in the past and John Mayer in recent years. The op-amp is equipped with either the MC4558, JRC4558D glossy, or JRC4558D matte, but this unit is equipped with the particularly popular JRC4558D glossy. Individuals equipped with the 'JRC4558D glossy' were limited to the early period to around 1987, and with the addition of a production line in Taiwan from the same time, there are also Taiwanese-made units that were produced in parallel with the Japanese-made units. Although there are slight individual differences in this model, the sound of this unit in particular has an exquisitely rich midrange and a comfortable compression and atmosphere.
This is truly a masterpiece!
