A versatile preamp that can be used to compensate for lack of pickup output, used as a buffer amp, or for boosting! This is a rare piece from the 1970s.
GAIN minimum is almost the original sound level, not zero, and only the volume can be increased from there as much as desired. It is also useful to put it in a loop to compensate the level of other effectors. Some pro guitarists are using it secretly! This is a hidden great booster/preamp pedal from MXR that many pro guitarists secretly use. The lettering is almost gone, and the overall appearance has the feel of a well-worn pedal, but it works perfectly and sounds great, which explains why it has been used for so long.

There is a missing protective sponge for the internal circuit board, and one set screw has been replaced.
