The original "ORANGE SQUEEZER," born in London, England in 1973, was manufactured and sold by the American company Musitronics!
This small orange box, quite compact for its time and packed with groundbreaking ideas, became a huge hit, beloved by many famous fusion guitarists, including Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, and Masayoshi Takanaka. Today, it's a rare find. It's considered a classic compressor, alongside the MXR Dyna Comp and ROSS Compressor. While the Dyna Comp is primarily known for its crisp sound, this unit offers a gentler, more mellow attack. Its distinctive, viscous sustain is particularly noteworthy, and two internal trims allow for adjustment of compression and output level. This is a USA-made unit without the Musitronics (tuning fork) mark.
