This is a transitional model between the "Clyde McCoy Signature" and the V846, manufactured by EME (Electronica Musicale Europea) in Italy!
In February 1967, the first commercially available VOX wah pedal was named "The Clyde McCoy Wah-Wah Pedal." Clyde McCoy (1903–1990), a trumpeter known for his wah-wah mute (a technique in which the horn is covered with a hand or a mute), featured his portrait on the pedal's back. Around 1968, Clyde McCoy's portrait was removed and replaced with just the logo. In the later stages, some pedals were available with no inscription on the back. Models with his portrait are called "Picture," those with only the logo are called "Signature," and those without are called "No-Logo." This unit is a "No-Logo" model from the final CLYDE era, featuring a Grover inductor with an exposed inductor. It produces a slightly full, yet transparent sound, and the unique "whoosh" sound it makes when the filter opens is incredibly satisfying.
