This is an early 1980s OD-1 equipped with a JRC4558D (glossy finish)!
The BOSS OD-1, starting around serial number 8900, was upgraded to a dual op amp (combining two op amps), and an LED indicator was added to display the ON/OFF status. This unit is equipped with the popular JRC4558D (glossy finish), which produces a tight low end, a more mid-heavy sound, and a mellow tone. While renowned as a booster for tube amps, the OD-1's own distortion also boasts a superb texture.
