This is the first BOSS analog chorus masterpiece, still garnering overwhelming support!
This model is the first BOSS-branded pedal sold by Roland in 1976. Simply put, it produces a very warm and rich chorus. It also features a vibrato mode, allowing for a wide range of modulations, from gentle to psychedelic. Stereo output is also available, allowing for even more spacious effects, and the input level controls (high and low) make it compatible with instruments other than guitar. Another unique feature of this model is the low-pass filter on the delay line output. While also popular, the CE-1 differs slightly from the CE-2 in that the BBD on the CE-1 has a lower clock frequency, resulting in a lower cutoff frequency for the low-pass filter, resulting in a milder chorus effect with less high frequencies. Its unique sound is what makes it a true "masterpiece." This unit comes with its precious original box and a copy of the instruction manual.
