This is a Maxon OD-808 in a large case, featuring the RC4558P (Malaysian chip)!
This is the Japanese market model of the Ibanez TS-808 TUBE SCREAMER Overdrive Pro, famously used by musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughan. It shares the same specifications, with the exception of the brand/model logo design and DC jack (not a mini jack). The boost, with its subtle compression that evokes the warmth of human skin, adds brilliance and presence to the original sound. There are several types of op-amp ICs available, and this model features the popular RC4558P (Malaysian chip). While the JRC4558D (glossy) version focuses on the midrange, this model offers a rougher, heavier sound, allowing for unique expression. The Ibanez TS-808 has been rising in market prices. This is a rare model that has become extremely rare over the past few years. While Maxon products were once considered easy to obtain, this is no longer the case.
