This is an original TS808, large-case model from the early 1980s, equipped with a JRC4558D (gloss finish) amplifier!
The subtle compression and boost add a lustrous presence to the original sound. There are early models that are compact and lightweight, and later models that are large and heavy, and there are several types of op-amp ICs. While models equipped with the RC4558P (a Malaysian chip) have a rougher, heavier sound, this model equipped with the JRC4558D features a mid-range focus and a milder, smoother sound. This model's dynamic yet delicate drive sound will captivate any player. Although this particular model dates back to 1981, it remains immensely popular, highly sought after, and extremely expensive and difficult to obtain. This model is equipped with an MP-DO1201B board, with no hyphen in the model name, no manufacturer's R mark, no DC jack nut, and a knob scale. This is a masterpiece that lets you experience the truest "authentic sound" firsthand!
