This is a fuzz pedal from the UK company Carlsbro!
This is an OEM product from the UK company Sola Sound, and is the same model as the Tone Bender MK3. The Tone Bender MK3 was produced from around 1968 through the 1970s, and many other OEM products exist, including those under the unlabeled "Colorsound" name, as well as for Vox, Park, and others. The previous version, the MK2, had a rugged hammer gray body, but this model features a pressed steel case with a pop illustration. This "Carlsbro" model, in particular, is rare and highly sought-after, thanks to its distinctive turquoise blue body. In addition to fuzz and volume controls, it also features new treble and bass controls. Compared to the Tone Bender MK2's rough, fuzz-like sound, this pedal delivers a high-gain distortion with a finer saturation. Its rough distortion is reminiscent of the E/H Big Muff π. Turning the TREBLE/BASS knob to the left produces a bright tone with low cut, while turning it to the right produces a fat tone with rich lows, providing a wide range of sound creation options. The FUZZ knob is at full counterclockwise, with distortion suddenly becoming intense at about the 8th position. While you can control the distortion level with the guitar volume control, it's not responsive enough to instantly achieve a brilliant clean sound.
