Teodoro Perez was born in 1952 in Soria, Spain. He began his apprenticeship in 1966 at the renowned José Ramírez III workshop, training under masters Mariano Tesános Martín (1915–1982) and Paulino Bernabé (1932–2007) during the golden era of Ramírez guitars. In 1969, he became a certified Master Craftsman and started crafting guitars under the initials GPM (his full name is Teodoro Gregorio Perez Mariblanca), producing around 1,400 instruments over 26 years at Ramírez.

After leaving Ramírez in 1991, Perez partnered with Mariano Tesános (son of Tesános Martín) to craft guitars under the label “M. Tesános Pérez,” which were highly praised. Since 2005, he has been running his own workshop with his son Sergio, daughter Beatriz, and son-in-law Marco A. Tejeda, producing guitars under his own label, “Teodoro Perez.”

Perez is recognized as a leading figure of the Madrid Ramírez tradition. While maintaining the elegance and essence of traditional Spanish guitars, his instruments offer superb balance, rich and brilliant tone, comfortable playability, and exquisite craftsmanship. His flamenco models are also popular in Japan, used by acclaimed guitarist Jin Oki.

[Description]
This is a 2018 Teodoro Perez Maestro Especial (No. 1184, Used). Finished in shellac, it shows some playing marks and light scratches along the sides of the fingerboard and near the treble side of the soundhole, but it has no major cracks or modifications. The guitar delivers the full beauty of Perez’s craftsmanship—elegant, responsive, and ready to inspire your playing.
