A "usable modification" 5-string model from the Shoreline series!
LAKLAND is a favorite among many top players around the world.
The Shoreline Series uses the same parts as LAKLAND USA, with woodworking, paint, and assembly done in Japan. This popular series boasts a sound that rivals the USA models.
This model has been modified with replaced pickups and preamps.
The pickups are two Nordstrand MM type, and the preamp is an Aguilar OPB-3.
Controls include master volume, pickup balancer, 3-band EQ, two 3-way mini switches (coil taps), and passive tone. Pulling the master volume down puts the guitar into passive mode.
At first glance, two humbuckers may seem like a bold modification, but the coil taps and EQ allow for a wide range of sound shaping!
This versatile guitar can achieve both a fat sound and a well-defined tone!
