A 1989 Marshall "1962 Bluesbreaker Reissue" has arrived
This "1962" combo amp features the "JTM45T" head—which debuted around 1966—mounted in a 2x12 cabinet
It became famous for being used by Eric Clapton on his acclaimed debut album while he was a member of "John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers" (as shown in the photo on the back cover), and is commonly known as the "Bluesbreakers Combo"
The unit we have in stock is the “1962 Bluesbreakers Reissue,” released by Marshall in 1989 as part of their Vintage Reissue Series.
This amplifier features a head unit based on the classic “JTM45T” circuit, housed in a cabinet designed to look just like the originals from the 1960s.
It is equipped with reissue G12 Greenback speakers from the period when they were still being manufactured in the UK.
Since approximately 35 years have passed since it was new, this is an early model with excellent sound quality, delivering a well-broken-in, vintage-like tone from both the circuitry and the speakers.
