Wren and Cuff Blue-Violet Caprid Small Footは、世界中から高い評価と賞賛を浴びているCapridのスペシャルエディションをさらにコンパクトにしたバージョンです。
そのペダルは70年代に発売された伝説的なペダル、通称“ラムズヘッド”と呼ばれるファズペダルを、フルサイズで再現したものです。
バイオレットと呼ばれる最初期のラムズヘッドに焦点を当て、1973年製のゴールドレッグトランジスタを含む希少なパーツを用いて制作された限定モデルです。

バイオレットラムズヘッドの中でも希少なブルーでプリントされたラムズヘッドのトーンを再現しています。ローミッド付近に重点を置いたサウンドで、まるでようやく探しだしたヴィンテージペダルを運良く手に入れられたときのような、ヴィンテージペダル特有のバランスが少し崩れたようなトーンです。
リッチなヴァイオリンのようなサステインと少しアグレッシブなエッジが生み出す、まさにマフサウンドです。

大きな筐体はロマンが溢れますが、実用性ではコンパクトペダルが勝ります。

Caprid Blue Violet Special EditionとBlue-Violet Caprid Small Footのサウンドにほとんど違いはありません。3つの厳選したオレンジドットと1つのバイオレットドットトランジスタを使用し、最高のゲインレンジとなるようマッチングさせています。そして同じOle 1/2Wカーボンコンポジション抵抗、同じ値のコンデンサを使用しています。

たしかに、大きな筐体にはロマンがあり、Wren and Cuffにとってもスペシャルなものです。しかし、多くのプレイヤーにとってそのサウンドの違いは小さく、使いやすさを選ぶプレイヤーは多いでしょう。
