This is a fuzz-wah pedal unit made in the Soviet Union in the 1980s that also has an auto-wah function!
Like many other models, this one looks like military equipment! It's as if it anticipated the whammy. (The size is just about the same.) This is a fuzz-wah pedal unit made by the Spektr-4 (Спектр-4) from the old Soviet era. First, the three foot switches on the top (which were originally distinctively shaped but have all been replaced) turn the fuzz on/off on the left, the wah on/off in the middle, and the auto-wah on/off on the right. The upper knob, labeled "Limit Level" in Russian, adjusts the fuzz gain including the level, and the lower knob, labeled "Accent," adjusts the strength of the auto-wah sound. The large control on the bottom right changes the speed of the auto-wah, assuming it is operated with your foot. On the side, there are INPUT/OUTPUT jacks, a trim to adjust the fuzz level, and a power jack (DC9V). The wah produces a filter-like synth-like change. The auto-wah is characterized by its speed control, and when set to maximum, it sounds like a bouncy phaser. This is a very unique effect unit that is unlikely to be available in the future. Don't worry, it can be used with a normal DC9V power supply. (It can also be powered by batteries, but we recommend using it with a power supply.) The inside is protected by a cover-like material for each board. It was an eye-opener. There are some parts that need replacing, but it is still enjoyable and I think it is a model with a very romantic atmosphere.
