Maxon OD-808 large case version with RC4558P (Malaysian chip)!
This is a model for Japanese market of "Ibanez TS-808 TUBE SCREAMER Overdrive Pro" which is known as used by Stevie Ray Vaughan and others. Except for the brand/model name logo design and DC jack (non-mini jack), the specifications are the same as the Ibanez TS-808 TUBE SCREAMER Overdrive Pro. The boost has an exquisite compressive feel that evokes the warmth of human skin, adding luster and presence to the original sound. There are several types of operational amplifier ICs on board, and this model is equipped with the popular RC4558P (Malaysian chip). In contrast to the JRC4558D (glossy) equipped model, which concentrates on the mid-range, this one has a coarser and heavier sound, allowing for a highly original expression depending on the player." The market price of the Ibanez TS-808 has skyrocketed considerably. This is a valuable model that has been rare to see since a few years ago, and it was positioned as a Maxon product in terms of availability. This model comes with a valuable original box.
