José Ramírez is arguably the most renowned Spanish guitar brand in the world, with a legacy that spans over a century, beginning with José Ramírez I. The brand has played a pivotal role in shaping the history of Spanish guitar making.
In particular, guitars crafted during the era of José Ramírez III were both groundbreaking and widely celebrated, attracting players from around the globe. His innovations included the use of cedar tops, a double-side construction featuring cypress lining (commonly used in flamenco guitars), and an extended 664 mm scale length. He also introduced urea resin finishes, a departure from traditional shellac.
These forward-thinking developments redefined classical guitar construction and influenced luthiers worldwide. At the same time, the distinctive, sweet, romantic, and lustrous tone—known as the “Ramírez tone”—became synonymous with the ideal sound of the classical guitar.
Description
This is a José Ramírez 1A Flamenco model, No. 13571, crafted in 1979.
The soundboard has two professionally repaired cracks: one extending from the treble side to the saddle, and another from the bass side to the saddle. Both have been reinforced with internal patching and show no structural issues.
There are some string marks beneath the bridge and a few small dents, but overall, for a flamenco guitar over 40 years old, it is in remarkably clean condition with minimal signs of heavy playwear.
This instrument offers a rare combination of historic craftsmanship and enduring performance, ideal for collectors and serious flamenco players alike.

更に再塗装、塗り重ね、フレットや糸巻きの調整や交換等の経年劣化に対しての補修、修理まで専門家の知識と技で、あらゆる問題点に関してのご相談、見積もり、リペアまで責任を持って承ります。担当制で木曜・土曜・日曜に各製作家がギターショップアウラに常駐しております。
